Simplicity and Such

Today was a simple a lovely day…

Today I wore plaid and jeans…

And blue moccasins…

Today I didn’t wear any products in my hair…

And I drank not one, not two, but 4 yummy cups of tea…

Today I baked cookie pies…

And ate two for lunch…

Today I worked on improving my crafting skills…

And actually liked the product…

Today was a good day…

And by today I mean yesterday because I didn’t get around to posting this on time…

(Real today ain’t half bad either).

If Your So Inclined

If you decide to make the cookies I talked about in this post here are so tips and tricks:

1. Make them! They are super yummy and really simple. They don’t even require eggs!

2. DO NOT put the dough in the fridge. It will make it dry and hard to work with.

3. You don’t actually need a mixer. I don’t have one and I just beat the dough by hand and they came out perfect!

4. Dip the dough in the cinnamon sugar mixture. Most of the cinnamon sugar fell off the cookies when I sprinkled the dough as suggested in the recipe. Dipping worked much better.

5. The recipe makes 40+ cute little cookies. The cookies don’t really expand at all during baking so feel free to pack them on the cookie sheet, if you only have one like me.

The One With Random Pictures

My last 2 posts completely lacked pictures. Therefore I thought I would have a post entirely devoted to photographs. Enjoy!

Jcrew Love

I thought I would share some clothes I am crushing on from the new arrivals at Jcrew. I love the simplicity of their clothes. I am pretty sure I could happily live in a wardrobe made up entirely of Jcrew pieces (although I doubt that would be a great idea money wise).

Anyone else been doing some window shopping lately?

P.S. This is the first time I am using WordPress’ gallery feature and I think it looks quite nice. Maybe I will try it out with outfit photos sometime.

Pure and Simple

This outfit is not very complicated, but I like it. I kind of feel like I just stepped out of a Jcrew Catalog (not that that is a bad thing). I really like the classic feel of this look. Sometimes I feel like jeans and solid colors just feel wonderfully simple. I like to remember that there is beauty if classic casuals.

Credit where Credit is Due: T-shirt – Jcrew; Shorts – Forever 21; Belt – Forever 21; Sandals – Urban Outfitters

I don’t have anything exciting to report about my life today. I have mostly just been relaxing and enjoying the fact that I do not have to study, read, write, discuss, analyze or do any other brain bending activity.
